Agricultural Business offers five areas of concentration: Agricultural Finance/Appraisal, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Policy, Farm and Ranch Management, and International Agribusiness Marketing, or the student can define a specialized concentration. We also administer and offer courses for a wine and viticulture minor. Our classes expose students to economics and accounting, domestic and international marketing and management, law and policy, production agriculture, environmental considerations, and technological studies that prepare students for increasingly complex, networked and global Computers careers in agriculture.

There are many employment opportunities for students in the industry. Demand for graduates has exceeded supply throughout the 1990's and into the new decade. Career opportunities are unlimited; our graduates have obtained jobs as marketing managers, company representatives, commodity brokers, wine marketing consultants, cooperative managers, appraisers, loan officers, farm management consultants, or farm/ranch managers. Our department has a multitude of alumni with strong ties to the agribusiness industry of California, the United States, and throughout the world. The Agribusiness Department's educational focus is to prepare students to enter these industries. Come and join us in designing exciting careers!
